COLTENE, a leading provider and distributer of dental products, recently announced that Martin Schaufelberger will be its new CEO. Mr. Schaufelberger will begin serving in his new position beginning next summer.
Erwin Locher, who is now acting as the head of COLTENE on an ad interim basis, will continue to serve in the company as a delegate of the board. The new CEO has served as a manager in a number of medium-sized companies including the thermoplastic resin manufacturer Kunststoff Schwanden AG in 1998 where he served as Head of Marketing and Sales. Mr. Schaufelberger served later as CEO of the company in 2007.
Previously, Mr. Schaufelberger was the head of the subsidiary of Zellweger Uster AG in Japan. This company is a provider of textile testing and quality control. Before that, in mid 1990s, he served as the manager of sales and strategic marketing of Zellweger Uster AG’s Yarn Clearing business.
