Jeff Burgess

Jeff Burgess received his DDS from the University Of Washington School Of Dentistry, Seattle, and his MSD in Oral Medicine from the University of Washington. He completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Anesthesiology and the University of Washington Medical Center and served 15 years as an Consultant/Attending at the Medical Center Pain Center. He also practiced general dentistry for 10 years and was a Research and Clinical Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Medicine for 15 years. In addition, he had a private practice in Oral Medicine for 18 years. He has work experience with dental PACS and DICOM. He has been the co-investigator on numerous studies and authored and co-authored multiple chapters in Medical and Dental texts and articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is currently the Director of Oral Care Research Associates which provides research and writing activities for contracted pharmaceutical companies and the Editor in Chief of the Dental Hub of InceDental. |

ERoss Kerr

Dr. Ross Kerr received his DDS from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and his MSD and certificate in Oral Medicine at the University of Washington. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology, Radiology & Medicine at New York University College of Dentistry where he is the director of the Oral Mucosal Disease Service. He is a past chair of the Oral Cancer Consortium, he is on the scientific advisory board for the Oral Cancer Foundation, and his research focus is on the evaluation of current and emerging technologies for the early detection of oral cancer and tobacco cessation in the dental practice setting. He has lectured nationally and internationally on oral cancer and other oral medicine related topics, and has contributed to the dental and medical literature. His private practice is focused on the dental management of medically complex patients and the management of patients with oral mucosal disease, dry mouth, and orofacial pain. |

Federico Brugnami

Dr Federico Brugnami received his DDS from "La Sapienza"University" of Rome in 1991 and his Certificate in Periodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1995. He is a Diplomate of The American Board of Periodontology (1998). While at Tufts he received the Young Investigator Fellowship Award of The American Academy of Periodontology. Dr Brugnami is licensed in Florida State. He is a former Clinical Instructor in the Department of Periodontics at Tufts University, Boston and a former visiting lecturer in the Department of Periodontics at Nova Southeastern University, Ft. Lauderdale. He has published several articles on bone grafting and regeneration and has been a lecturer on periodontics and implants at conferences and private courses in Italy, Us, Japan, Bahamas, Austria and Switzerland. Currently in a private practice in Rome, his practice is limited to periodontics and implants. |

Richard Ohrbach

Richard Ohrbach holds a DDS from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, a certificate in Pain Management from UCLA, an MS in Oral Sciences from the University at Buffalo, and a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University at Buffalo. He also completed a post-doctoral fellowship in behavioral epidemiology at the University of Washington. He practiced general dentistry for five years and directed TMD training clinics for eight years. Currently, he holds an appointment as Associate Professor in the Department of Oral Diagnostic Sciences at the University at Buffalo, is a collaborating Principal Investigator with many multi-site studies funded by NIH, and collaborates with colleagues internationally on pain studies. His current research involves medical diagnosis and biobehavioral assessment of TMD; genetics and behavior of pain; the assessment and impact of overuse behaviors; and limitation and disability associated with TMD. He is a consultant to the VA Hospital for TMD, and he has a part-time clinical practice for pain medicine and behavioral medicine. |

Dean Kolbinson

Dr Kolbinson graduated from the College of Dentistry, University of Saskatchewan in 1980 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. He then completed a 1-year General Practice Residency at University Hospital in Saskatoon (1980-1981). He received a Master of Science in Dentistry degree and a Certificate in Oral Medicine from the University of Washington in 1983. Dr Kolbinson has been in a tenure track position at the College of Dentistry since 1983 and is currently a (Full) Professor (with tenure). He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (in Oral Medicine), a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (Canadian Section), and a Diplomate, American Board of Oral Medicine. He has an extensive list of publications. |
