Description
Inflammatory periodontal diseases are multifactorial in nature. While bacterial biofilm is necessary, many other risk factors contribute to the expression of disease and destruction of the attachment apparatus. This presentation will outline the concept of etiology, risk, local and systemic factors that may influence the disease trajectory, chronic inflammation, and the relationship between oral and systemic health.
