Karen Isbister and Carrie Clotworthy, 2 dental hygiene professionals from the United States, recently created a new app to help dental hygiene students studying oral hygiene. In 2011, both dentist hygenists designed ‘Pass It’ which includes 1,000 dental hygiene questions in a board-style game. The new app can be used on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

The two professionals report: “Have you ever been in line at the grocery store, waiting at the airport, or waiting for class to start and wished you could take those few extra minutes to study? Now you can. No more bringing text books, flashcards, or notes with you to study on-the-go.” They added “Just like the board game, the app allows students to break away from a multiple choice format and really challenge themselves by answering fill-in-the-blank questions along with true/false and 50/50 questions.”

The designers of the new app said that it is also helping registered dental hygienists, along with students, in recalling information that otherwise might be forgotten.
