A new approach that uses bovine collagen might open the door for a new option for improving gingival healing. The new approach was assessed by teams from Germany and Switzerland, and the results look promising. In this study bovine collagen was found to help in building thicker margins around teeth and provided complete coverage of the roots in more than 50% of cases.
